The Runaway Bride Marries the Right Man
Ling Tian travels incognito and encounters Tong Yao, who is fleeing an arranged marriage. After rescuing her, he marries into the Tong family. A rich young man incites Ling Tian's boss to make things difficult for him and even brings people to smash Ling Tian's home, but Ling Tian teaches him a lesson instead. The rich young man goes to the Tong family demanding an explanation and is driven away by Ling Tian. Tong Yao's mother hosts a banquet to apologize, but the rich young man remains unruly and is subdued by Ling Tian and his father together. The rich young man is punished to become a beggar, and his father breaks ties with him, later colluding with a traitor from Ling Tian's organization to abduct Tong Yao. Ling Tian ultimately eliminates the traitor, severely punishes the rich young man's family, and protects Tong Yao.
